Three-way light switches control a light from two locations, such as from both ends of a staircase or hallway. Three-way switches make it easy to control the same light from multiple rooms. You know the drill- one turns on the light, the other one will turn off but then the first Neutral and ground wires are not necessary for this to work, although code probably requires the ground (green wire) to be connected.

I was looking around them and i noticed the light switches don't have a grounding wire attached to the switch itself.
